I had this stupid grin on my face after reading this.
This is my second novel in a verse this year, the first one being Burned by Ellen Hopkins. Although it is far from how heartbreaking Burned was, this book is charming and magnetic. Definitely a comfort quick read.

review: What My Girlfriend Doesn't Know2014-08-02T00:00:00+01:002014-08-02T00:00:00+01:00http://moreldei.booklikes.com/post/957411/what-my-girlfriend-doesn-t-knowmoreldeihttp://moreldei.booklikes.com As for the ending, it finished on such a short notice that there's still a tang of bitterness left on my mouth, like I demand more pages, or better, another book for Murphy has lots of making up to do with Sophie. Had the ending been more satisfying, the rating wouldn't have shied away from 1 more star.

review: We Were Liars2014-07-24T00:00:00+01:002014-07-24T00:00:00+01:00http://moreldei.booklikes.com/post/957414/we-were-liarsmoreldeihttp://moreldei.booklikes.com The girl has migraines and does not (like to) suffer fools--a variation of meaning--but was stupid herself, made a stupid proposition, and stupidly executed the stupid plan which led to something tragic. She has selective amnesia due to the trauma of what her stupidity caused. Her stupidity was the great reveal in the story. When you think about it, there were actually two twists: one of past's truth and the truth of the present summer seventeen. The former was acceptable, the latter I dislike.
So the book was okay. I liked it...sort of. The first three portions of the book were boring, so almost like Cadence, it felt like migraine whenever I get annoyed. I enjoyed it mostly only because I guessed the supposed mindfucks. However, I'm more disappointed that I did. Even so if I haven't, We Were Liars was still a let down for all the hype. That is all. I'm gonna shut my whiny mouth now.

If there exists such a thing branded as TOO MUCH ACTION, it has got to be this book! Never Fade is exhausting and painful and frustrating and everything the second book of The Darkest Minds trilogy should ever be. It was agonizing to read 506 pages of suspense and unceasing explosions. I'm surprised my heart is still intact, that I am still whole. I have complaints--a lot, actually--but it's safe to say they're overshadowed by the storm of emotions I have. Fangirl first; make a fuss later... is my mantra right now.
"And all Liam could say, over and over, was "Damn.""
While reading this and even after doing so, I empathize with Liam. DAMN indeed.

I enjoyed this better than TMI. At the start, I've seen myself giving this 4 stars (maybe even more) but I found some parts just ridiculous and annoying so I docked a half star.
Everyone's part of team Will and here I am cheering for team Jem. I still don't see nor feel the Will appeal. If Raffe from Angelfall could just do some book crossover, I'd honestly have him squash this Nephilim child, Will. lol It would be fun if the next books manage to have me jumping ships. :D

The characters, the new characters, new otps (Mr. Gray and Maura), the twists, the tension (almost yaoi haha), the mystery, the magic... Heck, it's a confusing story but it's not that hard to live with. (The manga Pandora Hearts is more complex and more fucked-up than this one, you know.) However, The Raven Boys was more enjoyable. The Dream Thieves was lacking some Glendower adventure. This is more centered with Ronan's development as a character -- his secrets and sexuality -- but I wish there were also more Noah appearances, and Blue x Gansey interactions.
Anyway, some readers claim to believe that Artemus, Blue's father, might be Glendower, and I think that's plausible. BUT I have this hunch that DICK GANSEY is the real Glendower. Okay, probably not is completely, but could even be was or will be Glendower. Time is circular in the ley line. Anything is possible with the Raven Cycle. The whole story even appears to me as some sort of parallel metaphor.
