The ending..... WTF just happened!?
This is a retelling of a classic, which I have not read yet, so I can't make comparisons. Anyway, the story started well and interesting, then the supposed gothic horror suddenly became more focused on Juliet battling over which man to pick -- it's another love triangle, people! Eventually, I became fond of it, but the annoying thing was how Juliet easily jumped ships. One moment, it's all about the tension with Montgomery, Edward the next. Sigh.
If that wasn't disappointing enough, what irked me yet again was how the story could've survived as a standalone BUT NOOOOO, it has to be dragged on for too long to be a trilogy. Asdfghjkl The joke's on me though because I know I'm still gonna want to purchase the next two books. LOL
Fingers crossed, I hope Edward Prince would make it to book 2. Hehe :D
